Family housing development containing 50 family dwellings composed of clusters of three dwelling types: 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom. The building complies with the requirements for low-energy building class 2015.
Lyngby City Hall is the focal point for an entire region's traders. KHR won an architectural competition in 2013, organised by Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, with the aim of bringing together more activities at the existing city hall by adding a new building of 5,000 sqm. The winning project proposal had to reinforce the existing urbanity, but was unfortunately never realised for various reasons.
The inspiration for the extension of Industriens Hus was found in the contrast between the heaviness of Rådhuspladsen and the lightness of Tivoli. The architectural identity comes alive in the interplay between the existing and the new, preserving the building's history without compromising its new expression.
The large hospital building "Glasblokkene" in Bergen, which KHR is helping to design for Helse Bergen, has received a commendation from the organisation buildingSMART International, which annually awards projects from the construction industry that exemplarily demonstrate the value of working and building digitally.
With its proposal for Hannemanssparken, KHR won an international architectural competition for a new master plan for a visionary and innovative urban district in Ørestad South. 90,000 m2 of both commercial and residential space were to radically reinterpret the historic city and its labyrinthine structure, but in a controlled manner. As in the historic city, the emphasis is on squares and meeting places - all the way up the floors.
KHR is the development consultant for the extensive transformation of Nordre Fasanvej 108 from a run-down office to one of Denmark's most modern commercial buildings. KHR initially prepared a design proposal for the project, which can be seen here, but has since been selected as the development manager for the project.
Three years after the groundbreaking ceremony, Regional Council Chairman Lars Gaardhøj and Region Hovedstadens Psykiatri Director Martin Lund yesterday cut the cord to the new Sct. Hans Retspsykiatri, which because of its location with a beautiful view over Roskilde Fjord by the staff is named "Udsigten".
