What is it really like to intern as an architect in a new country? German architecture student Anna Schönpflug and Swedish Moa Elisabet Kastrup talk about their internship at KHR Architecture, where exciting projects, a social work culture and Copenhagen's many opportunities have planted the seeds of a budding friendship across countries.
On Wednesday morning, KHR Architecture held an interesting morning meeting where urban planning expert Elisabeth Jeppesen and surveyor Kristian Bastrup gave the participants an insight into legislation, urban planning and its processes in connection with property development. The meeting was based on a number of concrete cases and typical pitfalls.
KHR Architecture's client consultancy has acted as buyer advisor to the pension fund PenSam in connection with the acquisition of 78 condominiums and 15 parking spaces in the fine functionalist residential block Dronningegården in central Copenhagen. KHR Architecture has performed a due diligence building review of the total 6,462 square metres of rental space, including a drone inspection of the roofs of the listed buildings from 1943 and 1956. The buyer counselling also included guidance on operation and maintenance budgets.
