The project is made of galvanized steel with perforated plates that let in light and designate which panels are fixed and which are gates. The raw materiality plays with the existing building on the site and ensures a robustness that can withstand rough working.

 

Storage and waste management

The project includes the establishment of permanent storage facilities for machine parts, road equipment and spare parts, as well as addressing the site's waste issues.

The cabinet is subdivided into sections that can accommodate both workstations and logical storage of both smaller objects and very large items.

New climate requirements for construction

As Denmark ramps up its green ambitions, climate requirements for construction have been tightened. From 1 July 2025, all new buildings will have to meet new CO2e limits, which are now lowered to an average of 7.1 kg CO2e/m²/year. These requirements will affect all aspects of the construction process and apply to more building types than before.

Naasut daycare centre

Naasut daycare centre is located directly adjacent to Nuuk's new school Inussuk. Here there is room for play and learning, inclusion and diversity. Naasut means flower in Greenlandic, referring to the delicate floral motifs on the customised facade.
