For a large renovation and transformation project, KHR Architecture acted as advisors and supported the client throughout the entire process.
The consultancy ensured that the project was completed to the agreed quality, on time and on budget. KHR's dedicated client advisor utilised the expertise of colleagues in the concept department to create visualisations of the property's common areas, which can be seen on this page. The images were an important tool in the letting process to give potential tenants an idea of how the common area would function after the project was completed and what kind of atmosphere they could expect.
Gartnerhaven is a new green residential area where KHR Architecture will design 18,000 square metres of housing. Elisabeth Jeppesen from KHR Byplan, as a consultant for Sweco, has been involved right from the development of a new master plan for the area and has steered the developer group behind the project safely throughout the process, ensuring a good dialogue with and the right deliverables to Hvidovre Municipality's administration.
Preparations are now being made to realise the local plan, where KHR Architecture is the architectural consultant for property developer Core Bolig X, which is developing one of the four building sites in Gartnerhaven.
Spread across three different building typologies, a total of 192 new apartments and 32 townhouses will be created.
Yesterday, Hvidovre's municipal council adopted a new local plan that gives the green light to an attractive nature and housing project called Gartnerhaven on the edge of one of the green wedges of the Finger Plan.

By combining Danish technology and know-how with a concrete challenge of handling large amounts of sugarcane waste in Peru, we are developing a modular building system based on digital production technologies. The building system is initially aimed at temporary construction, but the ambition is to eventually develop modules for permanent structures. The project is an international collaboration between seven partners and combines three areas of innovation: modular architecture, new material technologies and digital fabrication.
Modules made from residual material from the sugarcane industry in Peru could accelerate the use of regenerative building materials and modular construction modules to promote both social and environmental sustainability. These are some of the ideas behind an interdisciplinary innovation project that received a lot of attention at the UIA Architecture Congress in Copenhagen.
