There was great enthusiasm for the project when the topping-out ceremony was held this week for the Grunwalds Have residential area in Østerbro. 223 youth housing units and a rehearsal stage for Østre Gasværk Theatre will enrich the area both functionally and architecturally.
The Children and Youth Hospital in Bergen has is one of only three projects shortlisted for the European Healthcare Design Awards 2024 in the category Healthcare Design over 25,000 square metres. On 16 May, we will have the opportunity to present the project live to the jury. The winners will be announced at the European Healthcare Design Congress on 11 June in London. KHR Architecture, together with PKA Architects, Henning Larsen in Trondheim and schønherr, have been responsible for the design and planning of both the first and second phases of the hospital.
Today, there is a plethora of different types of architecture awards, and nominating projects is often a time-consuming process. This week, the Diabetes Centre in Holbæk opens its doors - and both patients and staff can look forward to a beautiful new building. KHR Architecture has been a consultant for the Novo Nordisk Foundation in connection with the renovation of the beautiful old Akaciegård at Holbæk Hospital and four other diabetes centres in Region Zealand.
