The design studio has just returned from an exciting five-day study trip to Venice. First of all we saw our own models on display at the Biennials at the Danish Pavilion under the title "New Humanism in Danish Architecture". Our two projects "Ørestad School" and "Oslo Square" is exhibited under the agenda "Designing Life" which focuses on rethinking and shaping human behaviour through high quality architecture. In addition, there were many exciting projects in the Danish pavilion, the pavilions of the other nations and the main exhibition curated by Alejandro Aravena under the title "Reporting from the front". In addition to two days at the Arsenale and Giardini, we saw a wide range of exciting projects and exhibitions. These included David Chipperfield's cemetery at San Michele Cimitri and many of Carlo Scarpa's fine projects; the Querini Stampalia museum, the Augusto Murer monument etc.We are now back home full of good inspiration and keen to get on with our many exciting projects.
