Three of the housing units are generally secured and one housing unit is for young people with extreme behaviour and is specially secured and separated from the others. The entrance area is equipped with meeting rooms and interview rooms, and the administration building contains offices and staff facilities. Egely is surrounded by a 5 m high wall with advanced surveillance equipment.

Self-contained housing units with more facilities

Egely houses 20 young offenders aged 15-17. The institution is divided into self-contained housing units, each accommodating five young people. Each unit has its own kitchen, indoor and outdoor facilities for education and recreation, and all rooms have their own bathroom.

The three areas of arrival, administration and housing units are connected to each other via a monitoring unit. There is a gymnasium with outdoor basketball and football built for common use.
