Together with German Nickl & Partner, KHR Architecture has been prequalified to design a school totalling 17,000 m2 in Mariendorf in the south of Berlin. school in Lichtenberg in the east of Berlin for the municipal housing company HOWOGE, which is also the developer of the ISS Eisenacher Strasse school project.

Palle Bo Rasmussen, International Director of KHR Architecture, says:

"It's great news that we have been chosen to bid on ISS Eisenacher Strasse. We have a lot of experience in creating schools at children's level that provide an optimal environment for playing, learning and socialising, and because we are already designing the Am Breiten Luch school in the Lichtenberg district, we are also familiar with the Berlin school concept, where schools are organised in smaller clusters."

"At KHR, we are working strategically to bring our core competencies in education and healthcare construction to the German market and it's great to see that our efforts are paying off."

ISS Eisenacher Strasse will be a "Sekundarschule" for 600 pupils from grades 7-10 and will be located next to a primary school, which, like the local community, will have access to some of the school's facilities. The competition proposal will be submitted in June, while the jury will select a winner in August.
