We love our annual study trip that offers professional inspiration hand in hand with collegial fun! This year we travelled to Amsterdam, where historic charm meets innovative design. Through guided walks through sustainable neighbourhoods, bike rides across the iconic canals and informal dancing, we learned how Amsterdam balances tradition and modernity.
Women's Day is still relevant - not least in our industry. At KHR Architecture, we have very appropriately just published a new gender equality policy to keep us on track towards the goals of greater diversity and equal rights for all, which we have long been working towards in a less formalised way.
Going to Berlin soon? Then get inspired by KHR's architectural study tour with an intensive 3-day architecture programme through the German capital.
Berlin's history has given it a diverse architectural expression. The city is 9 times larger than Paris, and while districts like Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg have already undergone a huge transformation since the fall of the Wall, gentrification in peripheral areas like Wedding is still in its early stages. In other words, there's plenty of inspiration and perspective to be had if you're interested in architecture and urban development.
KHR Architecture expands its partner circle with three co-owners and appoints three associate partners. At the same time, the company is reorganised around three core business areas.
German real estate investor Quadoro has purchased Køge Business Park on behalf of the sustainability-focused fund, Quadoro Sustainable Real Estate Europe Private. KHR acted as advisors based on a technical review of the 9,000 m2 domicile.
Michael Denk, managing director of Quadoro Investment GmbH, said in a press release:
"Denmark is currently one of the most attractive investment locations in the world, with a strong focus on research and development and green energy. This was a key factor in the purchase of the business park, which further diversifies the Fund's portfolio."
Finally we got the chance to go on a study trip again! Two days of architectural inspiration and collegial fun around Denmark.
