The contract for the new 'mental home' in Kverndalen has now been signed and KHR Architecture, together with Børve Bochsenius architects, Sweco engineers and Dronninga Landscape, will now start designing the 14,000 m² Living and Day Centre in Skien town centre. The project will start here in November 2017 and construction is expected to be completed in 2022.The centre will consist of 128 day beds and two day centres with a total of 30 beds. The building will have large common areas with activity rooms, lounges, meeting rooms, offices, etc. and each accommodation unit will consist of 8 rooms with common dining and living areas as well as its own outdoor area.We look forward to the further development and to designing the accommodation and day centre of the future.
