KHR Architecture replaces a Danish capital investor with an international engineering consultancy that can open doors for large international projects.
[Press release 30.08.2024]
Swiss consultancy Pini Group acquires 70 per cent of KHR Architecture. All active partners remain part of KHR's ownership, while the only external partner, H.P. Hertz, steps out.
"I speak on behalf of the entire partner group when I say that we are very happy to have Pini Group on board. It is a company that is the perfect partner for KHR on both a human and professional level," says CEO and partner Lars Kragh from KHR Architecture.
"We will retain our independent brand and operations, but through our collaboration with Pini we will have the opportunity to bid for large international projects. Pini is an engineering company that works with building and infrastructure projects, which they want to enrich with our design competences."
"We can also strengthen each other in terms of market access. Pini Group is an international group and can open doors in new markets for KHR. Conversely, Pini would like to have a stronger presence in Germany and the Nordics, where we are at home."
Pini Group, headquartered in the Italian part of Switzerland, is buying into KHR on the basis of a fruitful working relationship that has left both companies wanting a deeper involvement.
"We already collaborate with Pini on several international projects, including a large hub for the UAE cycling team. The good collaboration gives us the certainty that as part of the Pini Group, we are looking into an exciting future with a better financial solidity to bid on large projects and a unique access to international projects."
Andrea Galli, CEO of Pini Group, is also looking forward to the future partnership:
"We are very much looking forward to intensifying our collaboration with our new colleagues from KHR, and I am absolutely convinced that our companies will enrich each other and realise international flagship projects where design and engineering go hand in hand." he says.
"I am deeply impressed by the architectural quality of KHR Architecture's projects. It is essential for me that KHR maintains a strong brand and the necessary autonomy to develop this business line on a global scale."
