KHR ARCHITECTURE EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP Morten Vedelsbøl joins KHR Architecture as an associate partner on 1 May 2017. Morten Vedelsbøl will help strengthen KHR Architecture's creative leadership and is part of KHR's planned generational change.KHR Architecture in growthKHR has experienced strong growth in recent years in terms of finances, project and employee numbers. Today, the architectural firm has 65 employees with activities in Denmark and Norway with innovative projects in health, culture, housing, business, education, product development and infrastructure.
The company has several large ongoing hospital projects and is experiencing growth in residential and commercial construction in particular.CEO Lars Kragh says "after a few years where the construction industry has been under pressure, we are now experiencing strong growth. The construction industry has regained its footing, and many exciting housing projects in particular are being developed. We have seen a 20 percent growth in turnover over the past year and we can expect it to increase further. That's why we want to expand our partner base, while ensuring a smooth generational change in creative leadership." Company's position strengthenedWith Morten Vedelsbøl's background and experience, KHR Architecture's position is strengthened. In his previous position as Creative Director at White, he has, among other things, led many exciting projects and won several prestigious architectural competitions. Furthermore, Morten Vedelsbøl has experience from his own design studio ´Deve´ and in addition he has taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture for several years.Morten knows KHR Architecture very well, having been employed by the company in the early years of his career as well as through his association with Jan Søndergaard's department at the Academy for a number of years. After several years of experience with both his own company and employment in other companies, Morten now returns, ready to strengthen and further develop KHR Architecture.
