When the International Architecture Biennale opens on 28 May 2016 in Venice, KHR Arkitekter is part of the official Danish contribution. KHR Arkitekter is among the design studios that will represent Denmark at the Architecture Biennale. The curatorial team consisting of philosopher Kristoffer Lindhardt Weiss and architect Boris Brorman Jensen will show a snapshot of new humanism in danish architecture. A "wunderkammer" of architectural prototypes that show how we Danish architects create architecture with a focus on and consideration for people. The Danish pavilion is one of the most visited pavilions at the Architecture Biennale. In 2014, the exhibition in the Danish pavilion was seen by more than 120,000 visitors.
The Venice Architecture Biennale is the world's largest international architectural event with more than 60 international pavilions exhibiting in the Giardini area, at the Arsenale and in Venice city. The main curator of the 2016 Biennale is Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena who focuses on the "front lines" of the built environment under the theme "Reporting from the front "The exhibition officially opens on 28 May 2016 and can be seen until 27 November 2016.
