Owner responsibilities and legislation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When there are multiple employers on site at the same time, the client is obliged to appoint a health and safety coordinator. This applies to both the design phase (P) and the construction phase (B). The coordinator must ensure that the working environment is planned, coordinated and documented, including the preparation of a Health and Safety Plan (HSP) and records for future work. As a client, you can't abdicate responsibility - but it can be handled professionally with the right advisor.

As a design phase (P) health and safety coordinator, we analyse accident and health risks and work closely with architects and engineers to reduce or eliminate them. We ensure that logistics, schedules and working methods support safe construction, and we draw up the PSS so that requirements and roles are clear to contractors. At the same time, we incorporate health and safety considerations into the future operation and maintenance of the building.
