2 Fibre installation: (MEDIUM)

The Industrial PhD thesis entitled ‘RUM – Fibre-reinforced polymer composites in an architectural context’ introduces architecture shaped by an advanced composite, focusing on the relationship between space, material and light. Through an experimental study at various scales, the thesis examines the integration of FRP (Fibre-Reinforced Polymers) into architecture as a distinct material geometry, focusing on the internal composition between the composite’s two constituent materials: fibre strands (reinforcement) and matrix (matrix material).

Finally, this thesis was completed with the support of Innovation Fund, Realdania and Frits Schlegel scholarship.
