Mads Reese Bjarrum has been Group COO at BIG for eight years, where he has been responsible for organisation and operations at offices in Copenhagen, London and New York. He has worked closely with the management team to develop and scale an international architecture firm and ensure the financial and organisational framework for the practice's global projects. In 2023, he was recognised as one of Denmark's top business talents in Berlingske Talent 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He points out that the ARX integration gives KHR Architecture new opportunities to work across markets and project types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, he emphasises that the architectural industry is changing rapidly these days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects are bigger, requirements are more demanding, and collaboration with clients and consultants is more integrated than before. The challenge is to maintain the high level of architectural ambition while managing this complexity. KHR Architecture was founded in 1946 and today has around 60 employees. The studio is behind a number of striking projects<\/a> in Denmark, including the Copenhagen Metro, University of Southern Denmark and University of Copenhagen Amager. In recent years, KHR has also worked on projects internationally, including educational and healthcare construction.
